The Breeze at Dawn

"The Breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you. Don't go back to sleep." - Rumi

For the forty days leading up to Easter, I decided to sacrifice on sleep and in turn wake up for the sunrise.  In doing this small exercise of discipline in honor of Lent, I not only saw some of the most beautiful skies I have ever seen, but I also have a new found appreciation for the stillness as dawn breaks.  I learned that what I was truly seeking in the renewing of each morning is the grace one experiences while waiting in quite wonder.
